I am a landscape designer and the winter sucks! Boredom was unbearable. Sooooo....My friend Harlee has an amazing jewelry business and her workspace needed an instant makeover. Well... a local fabric store was going out of business and at up to 90% off prices we took a leap of faith. What would have cost her $1200.00 dollars, cost $300.00 in fabric. Actually $300.00 was all she had to spend to makeover her space. We had so much fun... she had paint left over from other projects, furniture just taking up space and I had two rugs balled up in my basement... it was exciting to see how we could find things and not spend another dime! We even repainted some canvases from paintings that she no longer wanted.... take a look: Here are the Before pictures:

If you look in the right corner of the picture above you will see a red shelf unit... next to was a huge sheet metal red desk that looked like it came out of a mechanics garage... look in "After pictures" below and see them painted green.
After Pictures!
Is that (Jeannie in a bottle) lamp in the "lounge area behind her desk cool or what??? It was "just" stored in her basement.
The hanging window in above picture was an old storm door panel that I had salvaged and not done anything with. So we knocked out the glass, painted it and hung some of her favorite things with wire. Cool huh?
Not bad huh? We are very proud of ourselves! Now she has a great work and play space! She makes amazing jewelry ... If you are interested in seeing her jewelry, comment on my blog and I will make sure you get pictures.
