Although Labor Day is meant as a celebration of the labor movement and its achievements, it has come to be celebrated as the last, long summer weekend before Autumn.
Today Labor Day means everything from a long weekend... to the end of summer... to the last day you can wear wear white shoes. To me, it earmarks the beginning of crisp cool mornings, the days getting shorter, mums, pumpkins, family gatherings and last but certainly foremost to my business, the beginning of fall garden and landscape planning. Next week, I will have checklists for you ... but for now I'll leave you with Rosie the Riveter and a little Miss Donna Summer!
Have a Fabulous Labor Day Weekend!
